What's new in Odoo 20
Odoo 20 was unveiled on September 24, 2026 at Odoo Experience. Here is what matters to a small business. We run our own company on Odoo 19 Enterprise today and scope Odoo 20 builds and upgrades for clients.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a custom Odoo module typically take?+
Two to six weeks from kickoff to production deploy, depending on scope. A simple field/view customization is often a sprint (2 weeks). A full custom module with integrations and reports is typically 4-6 weeks. We give you a tight estimate in writing after the scoping call.
Can you work on our existing Odoo install or do we have to upgrade?+
We work on whatever you're running, from Odoo 14 through Odoo 19, on-prem or Odoo.sh, Community or Enterprise. New builds and upgrades target Odoo 20, the current release. If you're on an older version that Odoo no longer supports, we'll usually recommend upgrading first because security patches matter more than a custom feature.
What's new in Odoo 20, and should we upgrade?+
Odoo 20 was unveiled on September 24, 2026 at Odoo Experience. Highlights include AI agents that can act on records, an MCP connector for outside AI tools, paying vendor bills from inside Odoo, CRM lead rotation, an offline mode and 13 new industry packages. Whether to upgrade now depends on your current version, your custom modules and your Enterprise license, so we check those on the free scoping call. Odoo's AI features run on IAP credits that Odoo sells separately from user licenses.

Probably yes — Odoo's framework is extensible enough that 90%+ of business processes can be modeled cleanly without forking core. The 10% that genuinely don't fit, we tell you upfront in the scoping call. We're not in the business of saying yes to projects that turn into nightmares.

Development is $125/hr ($95/hr for nonprofits and veteran organizations). We quote scoped work as fixed-price phases, 50% to start and 50% at acceptance, so you get a firm number before work begins. Ongoing hosting and support plans are $149/mo (Essential) or $299/mo (Standard), $199/mo for nonprofits.
